Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with families and the wider community. Parents and carers can get involved through the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C), by volunteering, or by supporting events and projects. Your time, ideas and encouragement help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members who work in partnership with Largs Public School. The association contributes to school planning, fundraising, events, volunteering and practical initiatives that benefit students and families.

Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, become involved in school life and contribute to our school’s future. New members are always welcome.

Join our P&C

Come along to a meeting or contact the committee to find out how to join. You do not need previous committee experience or a large amount of spare time. People contribute in different ways, and every contribution is valued.

As a member, you can:

• attend P&C meetings;
• contribute ideas and raise matters for discussion;
• take part in decisions and votes;
• help plan events, fundraising and community activities;
• join working groups or project teams;
• nominate for a committee position;
• support practical initiatives that benefit students and families.

P&C meetings

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm. Meeting dates, agendas and minutes are published in the Meetings section of this website.

Meetings are welcoming, respectful and focused on practical outcomes for the school community. There is no expectation that every member will attend every meeting or volunteer for every activity.

Other ways to be involved
